Yeah Sorry, Panic over, Janet rang earlier and Sandy came strolling in the house larger than life like nothing had happened covered in MANURE!! Only just got in and able to update the forum. The good thing in all this ignoring the stress inflicted on me and Janet, Fay the dog warden, kate at the pound and everybody else i rang was that Sandy came home on her own as a regular stray this is a big plus and she must obviously be very happy in her new home!!

Phew! I think Sandy should be called Houdini!! So glad she came home, its the worst feeling ever when your dogs go missing, and it does prove how happy she must be with Janet

It just goes to show how times have changed. When I was little we used to just open the front door and let our dog out. Then, at the end of the day, shout her back in again. I would never dream about doing that now

We did that too in the olden days with our Bess, although we'd just leave her for ten minutes or so then shout her back in. Although there were lots of kids playing on the grass in front of my mums house back then to keep an eye on her and they all knew her, there doesn't seem to be any kids nowadays

Our Laddie would take off for weeks after a bitch in season, there must have been hundreds of his off spring wondering around!
