Great news, Bruce has gone to his new home today!!!

Julie and I went to do his homecheck and Daryl and his dad, Daz, couldn't wait to adopt him so as soon as we gave them the go ahead they went to get him from the kennels.

He has been in kennels for a long time but with time and patience he will settle in and he will get plenty of walks, which he will love.

So pleased for him and hope to still see him on our monthly dog walks.

cheers cheers cheers

Absolutely fantastic news. If there was one dog that really deserved a home it was little Bruce.

Be good Brucy - try not to hump too much Laughing

He wont be humping much at all soon, we're giving Bruce a week or so to settle in and for Daryl to walk his legs off and then he'll be castrated.

Daryl is only 17 and been a bit of a handful, he and his dad have recently moved to Yorkshire from London. I asked Daryl about his past and he was open and honest, Bruce is going to be his dog, his best mate and his companion. Daryl has promised me that he will look after Bruce to the best of his ability, i told him that if he didnt that i wouldnt hesitate in taking him back but, i believe he will. When we got there he wasnt in he was at the kennels and had been most of the afternoon - because he is under 18 he wasnt allowed to walk Bruce so he spent all the time sat in the kennel with him.

He has been with his Dad nearly every afternoon and had Bruce out for a couple of hours walk each time.

Good luck Bruce, Darly, Daz and Blue ( the parakeet) hope your lives are complete and you all help each other. Wink

What a wonderful story! We knew Bruce was a special little lad but who knew he would go onto have such an effect on a young man who needs direction and purpose in his life cheers

I hope all three will have a happy life together - with the parrot keeping them all in line! Rolling Eyes Laughing
